Once settled, she is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than spending time with her human friends. She enjoys lots of head and chin rubs and will give you a big head butt if you stop stroking her. During the day she loves nothing more than sunbathing in her favourite sun spot and gazing out the window, but will eagerly climb onto your lap for a fuss.

I’ll miss her when she’s rehomed, but it’s definitely best for her. Although fostering can be challenging and requires a lot of time, it is extremely rewarding to see your foster animal blossom and then go on to be successfully rehomed. We often find that once placed into foster care and given time to settle into a normal home environment, they are better able to relax and their true personalities shine through. Battersea is now working in Basingstoke to rehome more rescue dogs and cats and put smiles on more faces. Luckily, some of the pets, such as one-eyed Yorkshire Terrier Henry have found their forever homes in time for Christmas. Having him during lockdown has been a massive comfort and it’s going to be so heartbreaking to see him go. We need foster carers who have experience of owning a dog or cat, so if you are unsure about whether you can care for an animal then fostering may not be the right option for you. Fostering has been so incredibly rewarding that it’s very difficult to name just a few highlights! An affectionate and chatty lady, Teodora greets you with a delightful meow, and loves nothing more than cheek and chin rubs. Teodora was found living in a garden as a stray before she was brought into Battersea. Since being in the care of the much-loved charity, she hasn’t had much luck in finding a home - something that staff believe is because of her age.
